The equipment has been in use for a long time, and malfunctions are inevitable. As an important equipment on stainless steel pipe making machines, the internal leveling machine plays a very important role in removing internal and external welds and improving the quality of welded pipes. Once the internal leveling machine malfunctions, it will affect the quality of the welded pipe. Therefore, we need to learn to analyze the cause of the malfunction and solve the problem.
In addition to possible malfunctions in the forward and backward movement of the inner leveling trolley and the up and down movement of the rolling roller, there may also be issues such as stuck core rods, mold drawing, bamboo knots in the pipes, and internal wall drawing of the pipes. Below, the editor of Henkel Machinery will analyze the cause of the malfunction and its solutions for everyone.
1. Fault type: Inner leveling machine stuck core rod
Possible reasons: 1. The roundness of the pipe diameter does not meet the standards. 2. The position of the core rod is too forward or too backward. 3. There is debris inside the pipe. 4. The air pressure is too low. 5. The weld seam is too high
Solution: Firstly, ensure the roundness of the pipe diameter before leveling, and it cannot be too sharp or too flat. 2、 The position of the core rod cannot be installed too far forward or too far back. 3、 It is to check if there are any debris inside the pipe, and fourth, to ensure that the air pressure must be at least 4KG. Also, when making thick pipes, the weld seam should not be too large, and excessive height can easily cause the core rod to get stuck.
2. Fault type: The leveling machine mold is prone to scratching
Possible cause: Bearing detachment or damage, affecting the smooth rotation of the roller
Solution: Check if the bearing is detached or damaged. If it is detached, reinstall it. If damaged, replace it.
3. Fault type: After leveling, the pipe is bamboo shaped and has a touch
Possible cause: Incorrect position of the core rod
Solution: Check if the position of the core rod is correct, the vertical roller must be aligned, and the speed when the upper roller is pressed down cannot be too fast. The upward distance of the upper roller (5-10mm) should be reduced appropriately, or the speed of the leveling car in the forward direction should be adjusted quickly.
4. Fault type: There are always scratches on the inner wall of the pipe
Possible causes: Improper height of the lower roller, bent pull rod, foreign objects in the tube, or incorrect position of the core rod
Solution: Check the height of the lower roller to ensure that the core rod is flush with the center of the steel pipe, check if the pull rod is bent, check if there are any debris inside the steel pipe, and check if the position of the core rod is correct. The correct position of the core rod is that the tail section of the core rod extends about 8 centimeters beyond the mold. Be careful not to place it too far back as it may easily jam the core rod. Also, it should not be too far forward as it will flatten the pipe. Pay attention to tightening the screws to avoid the core rod falling off due to prolonged operation.
