As an important equipment on stainless steel pipe making machines, the failure of the internal leveling machine can affect the quality of welded pipes. Therefore, in addition to understanding the possible faults that may occur with the internal leveling machine, it is also necessary to understand the fault diagnosis and resolution methods when using the internal leveling machine. We have already introduced a type of malfunction in using the inner leveling machine, which is that the inner leveling car cannot move forward (backward). In addition, there is another possible type of malfunction, which is that the roller will not rise (fall).

Fault type: The roller of the inner leveling trolley will not rise (fall)

Possible reasons:

If the roller of the inner leveling car does not rise (fall) in manual and automatic mode, it may be a valve or circuit problem. 2. If the leveling car roller can be raised (lowered) in manual mode, it is possible that the middle proximity switch is broken.

Analysis method: investigation method (arranged according to likelihood)

1、 In manual and automatic mode, the inner leveling trolley rolls will not rise (fall)

The first possibility is a valve issue.

Judgment method: Check if the light on the corresponding valve is on. If it is on, it is a problem with the valve.

Solution: You can remove the valve and clean it, but if not, you may need to replace it.

2. The second possibility is a circuit issue.

Judgment method: Check if the lights corresponding to X10, X11, and X13 of the contactless relay are on. If it is not lit, it indicates that the contactless relay may be damaged. If the light is on but there is no action, it indicates that the connecting circuit in the middle is disconnected.

Solution: Replace the contactless relay and reconnect the circuit.

2、 The leveling trolley roller can be raised (lowered) in manual mode

In this case, it is most likely that the proximity switch in the middle is short circuited. If the proximity switch in the middle is short circuited, it will continuously send an upward signal to the PLC, so the roller will not descend; If the proximity switch in the middle is disconnected and there is no rising signal to the PLC, the roller will not rise.

Judgment method: Replace the proximity switch in the middle to see if the roller will rise or fall. Solution: If it is determined that the problem is with the middle proximity switch, then simply replace the middle proximity switch.
